Regata Condominium
Wallingford Ave. N. & Northlake Way
Seattle, Washington
The Regata Condominium is centrally located on the Burke-Gilman Trail, at the head of Lake Union, and adjacent to Seattle’s striking Gasworks Park. The project offers 102 residential units, 8,000 square feet of commercial/retail space, and parking for 164 vehicles. The residential units include seven penthouse units with private roof decks and twelve convertible live/work units with private at-grade entrances. Shared amenities include a common roof deck, a business center, and a state-of-the-art media room.
To limit the mass and visual impact of this 192,000 square foot development, the projects is split into three buildings above a subterranean garage. The three buildings are separated by abundantly landscaped courtyards. The courtyards provide an visual connection across site and permit views toward Lake Union and Downtown Seattle. Along the side streets and the Burke Gilman trail, view passages and the live/work units’ private entrances foster an intimate and pedestrian-oriented experience. Unique pedestrian spaces are provided as the design terraces down the sloping site, corresponding to the adjacent Wallingford Steps.
